Career Week 2018

March 18, 2018

Our learners at School of Hope were opportune to listen to various guest speakers who have made significant impact in their chosen career field. The following questions were posed to the various speakers;

  1. How did you get to do what you do?

  2. What were the challenges?

  3. What qualities did you have to develop to be a success?

  4. How do you measure success?

The speakers came from various career path including Entrepreneurs, Provincial Department, and the Health sector.

They were invited to share your journey with our Grade 9-12 students from Monday to Friday in the week ending 16th March, 2018 .

The Lined up speakers were given 45mins to speak about your career, how they got where they are, what they had to do to get there and where they hope to be in the future.

It was indeed an engaging moment for us all as a school and would like to say "Thank You!" to all the Guest speakers and to mention:

  • Lorian Guy - OnedayOnly

  • Belinda- BS Decor

  • Lance Barbier- Provincial Department

  • Yolnada Scholtz- Melomed, and many other Entrepreneurs that graced the event.
